It's been a long seven week process of buying our first house, but we made it to the final walkthrough! I don't think we believed the little roller coaster of emotions chart that was included in our packet from our Realtor but we have definitely experienced a plethora of them. Mike and I got back from the walkthrough a bit disappointed at the amount of junk left in the basement and the garage by the seller and the nasty state of the carpets. We knew we were going to be replacing them, but its a bit overwhelming at the amount of work we will need to do to make the house feel like our home.
Mike then decided to tell me he was feeling funny and said he thought he was having cold feet. I was feeling a bit the same way. It's really frightening to think that at 1pm tomorrow, we will officially be homeowners...together. I've made about a hundred lists of supplies we will need for our upcoming projects, picked out paint colors and just about drove Mike nuts talking about the house. It's weird. I don't feel all that excited now. Here's hoping that feeling changes tomorrow.
